The Power of Tracked Elevating Devices (TED)
MacKellar is always searching for tools and equipment that can make the jobs of our hardworking crews easier. We’re also big on efficiency for our teams.
That’s why we're excited about the addition of 5 Track Elevating Devices (TEDs) to our equipment lineup. These battery-powered belly guard jacks are remote operated, making dozer maintenance safer and more efficient.
The TEDs allow our crews to easily remove, manoeuvre and reinstall belly guards without the struggle of lifting. By using the remote control, fitters can effortlessly watch as the dozer’s belly guard is smoothly elevated for inspections and repairs – which improves safety by enabling our crews to work in safer and more ergonomic positions, thereby lowering the likelihood of injuries.
We've already deployed these TEDs at several of our key sites like Blackwater, Middlemount, Biloela, Carmichael and Moranbah North and the feedback from our crews has been incredibly positive.
Our fitters appreciate how the TED simplifies the process of removing dozer belly guards saving them time and effort on maintenance tasks.
The advantages of using the TEDs extend beyond convenience. By streamlining the maintenance process for dozers, our teams can expedite equipment repairs by reducing downtime and boosting productivity on site.
In addition to technological advancements, project solutions play a significant role in enhancing safety in mining projects. MacKellar are experienced in developing our solutions that simultaneously focus on optimising resources and create safety-based processes to reduce risks and improve efficiency.
We offer wet hire services across Queensland and our fleet is also available for dry hire.
