New Indigenous Partnerships Announced

Bridging the Gap Through Indigenous Joint Ventures

At Mackellar our strong dedication to diversity, inclusivity and fostering opportunities for Indigenous groups shines through.

Today, on the first day of the Queensland Mining Exhibition 2024 we eagerly shared the news of two collaborations we've established that are truly making a difference. We are very proud to highlight these new Indigenous Joint Venture partnerships that are already making a big difference.

One significant partnership involves Ulangoo Nunee Binbee, a family run business specialising in land revitalisation, mining services and the cultivation of bush medicines and foods. Together we are championing economic prospects and environmental conservation. This joint effort enables us to tap into ecological wisdom while offering secure employment opportunities and backing for business growth.

We are also proud to work with Gubba Bunthoo, the indigenous custodians of Ghungalu Land located west of Rockhampton in central Queensland. They enrich the community through investments and educational initiatives such as supplying certified mining services that are 100% Indigenous owned and operated. By involving Indigenous contractors we're paving the way, for meaningful employment avenues and knowledge exchange.

In all our endeavors our goal is to cultivate beneficial partnerships that empower local communities and uphold their autonomy. We are committed to narrowing the gap and ensuring distribution of economic benefits through collaborations, subcontracting and skills development initiatives.

We invite you to delve into these impactful partnerships at our QME 2024 exhibition Stand B122. Join us to meet representatives from our JVs, find out how we are making a positive impact and explore ways to participate. Together we can work towards an inclusive and sustainable future for everyone.
