Introducing the Gubba Bunthoo MacKellar Joint Venture

PARTNERING TO CREATE OPPORTUNITIES IN MINING

Ghungalu Investments, a leading provider of plant hire, equipment maintenance, mining services, transport and logistics, has joined forces with the MacKellar Group in a new Joint Venture called the Gubba Bunthoo MacKellar Joint Venture (GBJV).

Founded by Shaun Cora, Thane Cora, and Aunty Michelle Leisha, Ghungalu Investments has deep roots in the Ghungalu traditional lands where the GBJV operates. This new partnership will leverage the strengths of both companies to deliver a comprehensive range of mining services while also benefiting the local community.

"For MacKellar to give us this opportunity, it means a lot not only to us, but also to the wider community," said Shaun Cora, Operations Manager at Ghungalu Investments.

"The JV helps us achieve more in the mining industry and supports us with bigger gear."

The GBJV is committed to creating meaningful opportunities for the Ghungalu people. Through the Joint Venture, Ghungalu Investments will have access to MacKellar's industry expertise and resources, allowing them to expand their capabilities and take on larger mining projects.

"Ghungalu Investments were introduced to us through industry connections," said Dave White, General Manager of Business Development at MacKellar Group. "Shaun and Thane have a close connection with the Ghungalu country in which we work, and we'd like to give back to that community and involve them in our mining services."

In addition to providing plant hire and equipment, maintenance, and mining support services, the GBJV is dedicated to investing in the local community. This includes initiatives such as:

• Apprenticeships and operator training programs to develop skills and create career pathways in mining

• Mentorship programs to support the community

• Sponsorships for local sports teams and community events

"Opportunities like this don't exist for us, and to get involved in a JV like this, it's going to benefit everyone throughout the community, especially our family and elders," said Shaun Cora.

The Gubba Bunthoo MacKellar Joint Venture represents a powerful partnership that will not only deliver high-quality mining services, but also create lasting positive impacts for the Ghungalu people and their community. By working together, Ghungalu Investments and MacKellar Group are paving the way for greater Indigenous participation and self-determination in the resources sector.
